Orchid Chemicals – Potential Multibagger

After Walchandnagar, here is another multibagger. Keep a tab on Orchid Chemicals. The stock has been going great guns and it going to surprise the markets. The company is driven by various revenue triggers and future growth will be in the range of 30-40% in the next three years. The company has various molecules in pre-clinical trials stage. Investor Alert – Atlanta Price Rigging

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has asked the promoter group comprising 16 entities of Atlanta Ltd, and entities/persons associated with them (14 entities) not to deal in the stock of the company.

Sebi stated that the decision to this effect has been taken in the view of the fact that the company, its promoters and entities connected with them have abused the stock exchange mechanism, the listing agreement and regulations related to preferential issue of security to unfairly maximise their wealth at the cost of the lay investor.

GVK is Consolidating

GVK Power is consolidating its unlisted holdings in infrastructure assets under its flagship company GVK Power and Infrastructure. The combined entity will have interests in various diverse segments including power, airports, roads and mining. This might lead to the re-rating of the company valuations.

The stock is on an uptrend. Keep an eye on this stock.

Liberty Phosphate

Liberty Phosphate is a fertilizer scrip that is trading at a huge discount from its 52-week high of INR 55. It is the largest manufacture of single super phosphate and has more than 14% market share. As the company has allotted around 20 lakh shares at Rs.25 to the promoters and others, the scrip is bound to rise 50% in a few months.

The scrip can make a strong case for BUY. Need to keep a track of this scrip. As soon as price starts moving up from the 20 levels that it is trading at present, one needs to pick up the stock in good quantities. I would classify this as a contrarian bet.

Walchandnagar Industries Stock Split Rumour

There is this news doing the rounds in the market that Walchandnagar Industries might declare a bonus or a stock split sometime soon. This could also be a distractive rumor that some brokers might be spreading for their own interests. The stock is trading at 1850 levels right now. A good strategy would be to wait for the stock to reach 2000 levels and then get into it. Tread cautiously here.

BAG Films Hits Target

Sensex FY07 Target is 17000

A recent ICICI Securities report expects the Sensex to reach 17000 by the end of 2007. This is a very divergent view from what Merrill Lynch reported – that the sensex would crash to 11,500 levels by December 2007. I would love to believe in the ICICI Securities report, but would at the same time also keep in mind the view of ML analysts.

As various plans unfold, infrastructure seems to be the key area of focus that is shaping the way of things to come. The report lists the following as the top picks for the coming months:

Bank of Baroda
GAIL
Grasim
Maruti Udyog
Satyam Computers

On a separate note, I had written about Reliance Communications sometime back. The stock is seeing its price headed northwards, though I am keeping a tab on this stock. Market pundits are also anticipating a near term correction, though such rumors usually start floating as markets hit new highs. The underlying theme still remains strong and inspite of a correction, the general trend of Sensex is believed to go northwards only.

Walchandnagar is continuously hitting new highs – a stock that I had been tracking for the last few months. I do not know where the rally is going to stop, but as of now the story for this particular scrip is looking very positive. This is a real multi-bagger.

Reliance Communications – Underperformer

A recent Kotak report has put an underperformer rating on Reliance Communications. The report says that the stock is overvalued given the potential slowdown in the industry in future and aggressive price competition. Kotak has projected a target price of 375. The only factor that will drive the stock price north is profitability margin. Need to keep a tab on this scrip.

Walchandnagar Industries – Update

I have been recommending this stock since quite some time now. The first time that I had recommended this stock, it was trading at 500-600 levels. In a short duration of 2 months, the stock has shot up to 1400. Way to go for this stock.
